Its supposed to keep the locks from rotating.
It doesn't come with any instructions.
Are you suppose to remove both spring kits?
Is the big washer supposed to go on the inside or the outside of the
door?
If it goes on the outside its going back.

I did but it was back in 1996. I can remember for sure that I had to
enlarge the holes and I put the washers on the inside. Other than that I
forget.
BTW I installed the shocks with Ted's rear springs and the car rides like a
TR3 now. The shock conversion kit is highly recommended. The springs are
great for competition but a little jouncy for relaxed criusing. But I have
the TR8 for that.
