Actually, I seem to recall a query about re-aligning doors on a
Herald. Here's one small data point. I had to replace a busted
hinge on my Spitfire. The mountin bolts weren't all equally
accessible, but I was able to replace the hinge without removing the
door. The trick was to remove some of the bolts with the door open,
then the rest with it closed. By doing them in the right order, the
door's weight was supported by the lock and never by just one hinge.
The point of all this is that reassembly was the reverse procedure
(as usual with an LBC). The mounting bolts had some adjustability
via elongated holes, and final adjustment (tweaking) was possible
with the door closed in the frame. If I wanted simply to adjust the
door in its frame, I start examining it with this in mind...
Just my $.007.
