Subject: dielectric grease

What is dielectric grease and how does it work? I have some, and it
has no electrical conductivity that I can measure with an ohmeter.
Is it a good idea to use it on the electrical connections in a TR3?

Bob Wise

Bob,
Dielectric means that it does NOT conduct electricity. Therefore, by
definition, it is a non conductive grease.

It is ok to use it on electrical connectors in cases where the grease
would otherwise cause a short to ground or between the connectors.
Grease in this case is for the prevention of corrosion.

Cheers,
Joe
