For anyone else that is wondering ... yes, the crank on eBay is gold plated !
Moldex cranks are forged and are extremely strong, an absolute requirement for
race engines turning 7 grand or more. Just add some Carrillo rods (at over
$200 each) and away you go !
Haven't checked the prices lately (not sure they're even still available) but
it was near $5000 several years ago. I'm surprised some racer hasn't snapped
this one up. Maybe they've gotten cheaper and I just don't know it.
