GT6 Gear Changing Problem

My first thought is stop driving the car until you check the amount of
end play on the crankshaft.  If the thrust washers fall out, you can have
as much as .250" (some might call it 1/4 inch) extra play, which is then
taken up by the clutch.  If the clutch disc has high mileage, already
using more slave cylinder piston travel than with a new disc, the further
play it has to take up may not leave enough travel for the clutch to
fully disengage.  That and continued use can irreparably damage the rear
main bearing face where the thrust washers should be.
