Lucas Brethren:
I hope someone can help me get my dash gauge lights on my TR4A working. I
can't pull the knob off the rheostat, so I can't check the condition of the
wiper assembly itself. Looking from underneath, the rheostat has 4 terminals.
The lower left (when viewed from back) has a red wire connected. The lower
right has a thinner red and white striped wire connected. The upper right has
a connector with 2 thicker red with white stripes wires connected. The upper
left is not connected to any wires. Should it be? What colour?
I looked in TRF catalogs for rheostat assembly, and couldn't find any. Also,
this weekend I installed a NOS Lucas column light switch. The dash
illumination was out before that though.
