Sand blasting is oK for some parts of a tube, i.e. fenders, hood or
any part without welded joints. the parts joined by welding can defy sand
removal by any means which promotes moisture and thereby eventual rust.
today's market provides a variety of paint removal solutions that
have been vastly improved over the years. However, there is always labor
involved in paint removal (even sand blasting.
Just my .02 cents woorth.
