Thanks to everyone so far with the suggestions about what to replace an unused rheostat with. A clock seems to be the most popular choice. Actually I also have several other unused places for mounting widgets, like the courtesy light switch, and the radio mounting plate. Could put a little GPS display/homing beacon map where the radio would go.
