The biggest improvement I made in improving the readability of the dash gauges was by disassembling the rheostat and cleaning and buffing the coil inside. I then lubricated it with tuner cleaner-lube and reassembled it. Just be careful not to play too much with the tabs that hold it togeather. A real improvement in my car. Hope this helps.
