These are some bits and pieces of info and related comments gleaned from
having done a Google search for Norton Servos.

Norton Classic Servos
Location: Buckinghamshire
Tel: 01494 563 254 / 01494 562 235 (not sure which, found these two
different ones)
Email: servos@norton.org.uk

"Norton Classic Servos buy busted ones [brake servos] for #10 a piece for
spares. They also do rebuild kits for both kinds of the Imp Sport servos for
#35 a go or totally rebuilt ones for about #120.

If anyone else has any busted ones they don't want, don't chuck them as once
all the spares are used up, that's it. Game over. Parts for these units are
getting hard to find."

>From http://www.head2head.free-online.co.uk/Rover/servo.htm (this link has
an explanation and diagrams of the Girling Servo)
"Paul Norton of Norton Classic Servos (Tel: 01494 563254 or email him) is
extremely experienced and helpful and is one of the few people who can
supply the seal kits for the earlier servos, including the Clayton Dewandre
type used on the 1956-58 and early 1959 90 models. He also offers a
reconditioning service if you don't want to do the job yourself."

And here is another that appears to be by Paul:

I have a unit that has been disconnected since I purchased my car. So I have
no idea if it works. I'll bet it doesn't so if anyone who finds additional
corroborating information or a source for rebuild/repair sources in the US
or Canada please post the information or email me directly.

Can anyone recommend a method of testing this power assist
> unit? Is it repairable or do I need a new one?

Mark

I don't know how to test other than visual inspection of lines to valve
cover, etc.My servo gave up years ago and I did not get it rebuilt until
final stages of restoration. I ran for years with it disconnected.

It is repairable but I was not able to find anyone in the US to rebuild nor
could I find the parts to attempt myself. I finally sent mine off to Norton
Servos in the UK where it was rebuilt and sent back through intermedaries as
they would not ship direct to me for insurance reasons or something like
that

I don't have the invoice or contact info here at work. Let me know if you
need.

Good luck
