get that shroud !!! it's not 'special' at all - it's part of the original
factory specifications for cooling!
ps; you might want to have your radiator restored (the shop takes head and
bottom off and rams a wire through each cooling tube as this is the only
time-proven way to de-gunk and unblock radiator coolng tubes).
I've done this on two overheating cars and it fixed the problem - after flush
cleaning failed.
ps2; make sure you have the absolute correct thermostat - even some of the
vendors aren't sure - but you should be.

I'm in the midst of a mini odyssey with my car's cooling system.
Background: It's a TR250 with no special cooling stuff (e.g.: no shroud, no
electric fan)
