Larry,

I have a TR7 and a few other Triumphs, most of them really a loose
collection of parts. The absolute flat out best piece of advice I can give
you is to locate your local Triumph club and join it. There you will no
doubt find a group of people both friendly and knowledgeable to answer
questions and lend advice. Someone will also invariably know of one or more
projects. Also, you will probably be able to "try on" a few cars for size.
The thing about project cars is that they may be cheap to get into but they
can nickel and dime (and ten and twenty) you to death. If you are capable
and willing to do much of your own work then a project may be a good idea
but give it some thought.

For some info on the different Triumph models (and local clubs!) look at
http://www.vtr.org/

Cheers,
Kurt Oblinger
