Thanks to everyone who responded to my cry for help with this wretched
thing. The only reason I bought it was to protect my underground garage
floor during an oil change and because I have not been able to fit the thing
correctly I have ended up with a good four quarts of best GTX right there.

Sorry not to get back earlier but I have had a computer monitor failure and
the thing had to go to Paris to be fixed under guarantee.

My problem with the spin on adapter is that the rod with the hex head that
fits into the oil filter head and into which the bolt that holds the (old)
oil filter canister screws does'nt seem long enough for me to thread the
spigot with the spin on adapter above it although the old canister bolt
fits perfectly. Is the spigot too short? Or is the picture in the
instructions wrong and the spigot fits above the spin on head? If so I can't
get the O ring anywhere near the annulus it is supposed to seal.

Ah well Moss have sent me an old type paper cartridge which is now fitted
and oil tight! Took about 10 minutes to get it fitted right and two hours of
seriously oily work to clean the floor up!

Now I have six months to work out how to fit it properly!!

Again thanks to all who emailed.,

David Brister.
