As you will have seen from the comments that have already been posted on 
the subject of colour, there are people who are going to hate it, 
whatever colour you paint it.   Ocean blue sounds awful to me!   If you 
paint it a non-standard colour, you are going to alienate that group of 
potential buyers for whom originality is important; at least if you 
reproduce the original colour scheme, you keep them on-side, and you 
can't be accused of a lack of taste.   You can get a BMHIT certificate 
which will tell you the colour it started out as.

I think the only exception to this rule is the mud brown that some TR6s 
were painted around 1970.   These cars are almost impossible to give 
away - in UK, at least.

But the bottom line is that this is your car, and is going to be your 
car for a long time.   Paint it sky-blue pink, if that's what you fancy, 
and don't let anyone tell you different.
