When I reversed the TR6 out of the garage last Spring the noise attracted a
few kids (aged about 10 years old) who had been riding their bikes up and
down the street. They stood admiring the car, so I said "Ey up lads" (Ey up
is local slang for 'hello'). Their 'leader' responed, "is that a kit car"?
I explained that the car was not a kit, was built nearly 30 years ago etc.
and forgave the kit car comment when one of them said, "looks like a new
un".
