Tom,
I found some stainless clips that worked well at the marine supply store
(West Marine?) in Marina del Rey - They are intended for attatching things
to stainless side rails - I was hanging my CA license plate from an Amco
"overider bar on the front of my Morris Minor Pickup. Amco bars are about
1" - used two, one for each top screw - single hole in each clip was too
big so I had to use washers.
