I've used Hastings rings in many customers non Brit road cars and my Formula
Ford engine and haven't had any problems. They have been around for years
and also have a line of oil and air filters. " The best there is" or " So
tough but gentle on cylinder walls" or something similar is the slogan and
the package should have a square jawed guy holding a piston ring.

As for CEW or C&W I have no clue as I have never heard of them. The closest
thing could be TRW another quality brand. TRW makes some parts but mostly
seems to be a reboxer of parts. Recently TRW was bought by Federal Mogul
during their campaign to own every aftermarket parts supplier in the US.
