Drew,

We used to use our TR6 as a daily driver until it got hit a couple of
times because careless drivers didn't see it in parking lots, etc. After
a couple of those incidents plus dodging deadly tire treads on the road
and countless chips and nicks in the glass from gravel trucks on the
highway, I decided that, discretion being the better part of valor, it was
safest to retire the six to a weekend car. But, even so, once in a while I
think that it would be nice to drive it to work again. And sometimes I
do. But it is like driving a motorcycle. You drive with your headlights
on and assume that no one around you can see you. Drive with one hand on
the horn (and pray that the horn works when you need it). But reliability
was never really an issue as long as you keep on top of any mechanical
problems that crop up and you don't mind getting under the hood now and
then. I would encourage you to go for it.

Regards, Greg

I live in Philly, and I am just about to start my search for a TR6 to use
as
a daily driver during spring, summer and fall. I am intending to work on
it
during the winter. I had a 72 Spit back in the day, and I'd love to make
this happen again. I'm upgrading to the TR6 because it's larger. So am
I.

Honestly, is possible? Do many of you folks use your Triumphs for daily
local excursions? I sure hope so, because I have my heart set on getting
one.

Thanks for your input,
Drew Raison
