Hi Dan:
        As for over size pistons. Until you get the engine apart and take some
measurements. You will not know. I have seen many of rebuild with out
the need to go oversize. More often you can use a oversize ring set.
         As for the Head. You can remove a spark plug and push a length of rope
into the cylinder until the cylinder will not take more rope. While the
piston is on the low end of it's stroke (bottom).
        Then turn the motor. The compression of the rope in the cylinder should
push the head off with no damage.
