1) Live with it. ;-) Check the fit to the windows and windshield. Over
the years the tops will shrink and no longer fit tight against the windows.
A new top and a good fit-up will fix this. Until then, live with it.
2) I would check the gas tank vent. With the top down the air flowing will
create a slight vacuum in the cockpit which will draw air from the boot
area. With the top up and the windows closed the cockpit is at a slight
pressure due to the scuttle vent and the air will flow from the cockpit to
the boot and out.
3) Live with it. I think you're spoiled by the excelent dehumidification
that modern cars accomplish by using the AC. You are probably too young to
remember when all cars were like this in the rain.
Or you could take the train (Oops, sorry)
