Was it the "Sky-Vue" Drive-in?  Having lived through my formative years in 
Lamesa, I spent many a memorable moment in that drive-in.  (Front seat,
back seat and, yes... even the trunk)

Did the sign on the back of the screen still flash "Theater, Eat"???
