About twenty-five years ago (at an age when I still should have known
better), I had a similar problem--one piston tight, one piston seized.
Put air to the caliper and the tight one popped loose. Pushed it back in
all the way, and, without thinking, held it in place with one finger and
put the air to the caliper again... the other piston popped loose with a
bang and mashed that finger good. (!)
Lesson learned. If one piston is somewhat free and the other seized, use
a small clamp or the edge of the vise jaws to hold the free piston in
place while applying air to get the other one free.
