Well this morning it was 20 degrees F this morning here in north west
Florida, but the 6 still started up and got me to work. It complained a bit
to start with, but after warming up it ran ok. And yes, the top was up.
About a month ago I put a 160 thermostat in the engine. Prior to that there
was no thermostat, just free flow. This has helped the way it runs in clod
weather a lot, in fact I'm going to a 180 this weekend I think. When I
removed the thermostat housing it was dry, no water. Looking at the system,
the radiator is well below the level of the thermostat. Is it normal for
this area to be dry or is there a way to bleed the system?
TIA
