Folks,
I need some advice. As some of you know I am the proud owner of TR3A
TS78910. I have vowed to myself that I will restore this car or die trying
;-)

Here's my dilemma.....

The tub/body is very badly rusted in places (Big Surprise!):
1) Top of front inner fenders needs fix/replacement all the way back to the
bulkhead
2) Both outer fender mounting channels and lower portion need
replacement/fix
3) Lower portion of inner fenders needs fixing where they attach to the body
(in the area of the reinforcement panel).
4) Drivers side floor needs replacing at the front. Possible req. for
Passenger side too.
5) Front Bulkhead and sides of both driver and passenger are rotted out
where they join the floorpans. There is no solid metal to weld the floor
to.
6) Both inner and outer sills are rusted out on both sides
7) there's a little rust in the back (spare tire area, and a few pinholes in
the boot). I think I can weld these.

Otherwise the rest of the car is in pretty good shape (what's left!)

Options I have so far:

1) I have on hand an offer to do the work from a very kind listmember who is
very reasonable in price and has much experience. I will have to transport
the car to his location. At the moment this is my preferred option.

2) I own a gas equipped MIG welder and have done some "Proto Welds" on some
of the small stuff. I don't, however, have the equipment or skill to bend
sheetmetal to make the necessary repairs so I guess the MIG is useless
unless I aquire both.

3) I received some good advice from a trusted source that I should try to
aquire a fairly rust free tub, and work from there....

So the big question(s)

1) Does anyone have a post 60,000 fairly rust free tub they would be willing
to part with?
2) Does anyone want to repair the rust for free (it was worth a try!)
3) Any other ideas (no I won't take it to the scrap yard!)

Thanks in advance!
