I finally cut the clips off the second expensive set of rims I'd purchased, or was it the third, and glued them on with blue RTV. That was two or three years ago and I haven't lost either rim. Of course I haven't changed a headlamp either. Before giving up on the new rims, I tried all possible combinations of old/new headlamp buckets, gaskets, whatever. I pried, pounded and pushed till my hands hurt. Nothing worked. If anyone figures this one out, I'd like to hear from him. Ed Woods |
