Silicone TR3 Valve Gasket

Listers (or Justin) - Curing issue aside; has anyone used Justin's gasket
with an alloy valve cover?  I am still uncovering parts that came with my
project purchase and found a new valve cover in the bottom of one of the
bins.  Since I already have the gasket, I was just wondering if it was
usable...  Somewhere I saw a comment that it might or might not work but at
present I am suffering from "sometimers" and can't remember the actual
message.
