Robert:

TRF has the hardware and publication (part number 575646) you need, but do
expect delays in delivery as they might be missing one cap nut or side
tower. If you intend to replace any quarter/rear window seals, place your
order for new seals well in advance of the work you want to do. Heritage
produces these in limited numbers on demand.

The first thing you want to do is determine that the captive square nuts in
your hardtop, front, are in good nick and not stripped. Now is the time to
redo these if you need to. Many, many hardtops ended up with one or both
captive nuts welded in their cages: very difficult to match these locations
on unlike cars, and we all know that all Triumphs are unlike each other!

It is very difficult to thread the bolts up through the windshield top when
you have not located the holes in the rubber/spacers aligned correctly. I
used this procedure for a trouble-free seal installation. Purchase two 7/16"
(?I think?) studs in 3" lengths, or bolts from which you have removed the
heads. Set the hardtop vertically, say against a wall, and clean/rough up
the paint on the hardtop seal shelf. Screw in the studs. Using 3M FastTack
trim adhesive, spread liberally on the hardtop seal shelf. Put your spacers
in the rubber holes, and then push the rubber seal against the hardtop and
pull it away again, using the studs as holding/guide pins (you DON'T want to
do this freehand!). What you'll have is a bunch of glue on each piece: LET
IT SET UP FOR ONE MINUTE. Then, push the seal against the hardtop seal shelf
again. The studs keep the holes/spacers centered--you can remove them once
the seal sets against the shelf.
