the finishing plates on the lower edge of the windscreen help keep the windscreen lower seal in the proper place relative to the scuttle, I believe and also help seal out the usual drafts I assembled my 'screen completely and then had a helper hold it while installing the chrome mushroom head bolts. I also recommend a cork or rubber gasket tween the body and screen to protect the paint. Rob |
