We run exclusively Mobil synthetic products in our 2500 racer (engine ,
gearbox & diff).
It has been truly excellent in all regards. It far surpasses any
conventional oil in my opinion.
After several engine "inspections", we find absolutely no wear on vital
bottom end parts but we do notice slight cam wear.
Mobil 1 is available in Australia in 2 grades. A 3rd special grade (not
actually called Mobil 1, but it is a derivative) is also made exclusively
for the V8 race teams here, as they experience extreme cam lobe problems.
If an engine leaks simply by changing oils, I humbly suggest you have bigger
problems.
