Both my Triumphs have Hella headlights fitted, to which I have fitted Xenon
bulbs, available from Hella suppliers but made by Philips. The light from
the Xenon bulbs is at least 30% brighter than the halogen bulb, but the
current draw remains the same at 55/60W. I highly recommend them, as they
give a better light, while not adding to the load of the wiring, alternator,
switches, etc. Check www.hella.co.nz/xenon.htm for more on them...
I would also recommend the fitting of relays, whatever way you go - they
will improve the performance of your current lights and that old Lucas
wiring ain't what it used to be...
