TR3 Bumper Brackets

In your experience what is the generally accepted color for the bumper
brackets (front and rear) on the TR3?  I've seen them in both black &
body color.

I suspect if you order replacements they are black & if you do a casual
respray they end up body color so I can't draw a conclusion based on the
cars I have seen.  In some early photos of white cars they appear to be
black -- but it is hard to tell.  TIA
