Folding seat goes on the passenger side. I recall reading somewhere that this 
was to make it easier for the driver to access the rear area. 
Interestingly, the parts manual doesn't list a separate part # for passenger 
seat LHD/RHD, so I suppose the 2 sides are actually interchangeable.
