J-Type OD Trans Lube - Suggestions

I'm getting ready to put some lube in my freshly overhauled J-type.  What

run in yours?  I've heard Mobil 1 20W50 works well.  Any experience with
synthetic gear lubes?  Will a GL-5 Synthetic harm the synchro rings in the
gearbox?

I have used Red Line synthetic for the last 7,000 miles without a problem.
