brake
cables, removed all the wheels componnents (brakes, hub, axles...). Is
there
anything else or should I just use more raw power? The supports are bably
rusted
(news flash!!!) and I didn't want to use too much force since the arm are
made
of aluminium. Any BTDT out there?

Also, some question about lever shocks
1) Mine are very soft, and I don't know is they leaks (too much dirt on
them).
If after adding oil in them I find out that they leak and/or are still
soft,
are they rebuildable? If so, how easy/hard is it and can I do it myself?
Is
there rebuild kit out there (TRF, MOSS, VB, etc)

2) I came across 2 used ones that are described as "stiff". Is it worth it
to buy them and this way have the spare set. (I think the price was 60$ or
90$
for the pair)

TIA

Steph;

Bon jour mon ami. I assume you have remove the half shafts. The bolts
pass through tubes in the frame and they might be rusted to the tubes. Try
turning them with an open end wrench to break loose the rust. If that
soesn't get it you may just have to soak the bolts with penetrating oil for
a few days (weeks) first. Last resort is to cut the heads off of the bolts
and then, after the arms are out of the way, drill out the holes for new
bolts. (Usually when thigs are this bad you need some frame repair.
Typical)

Lever shocks can be rebuilt but I would recommend having that done as they
are tough to get apart. Apple Hydraulics rebuilds them for about $65 (US)
apiece. There are other folks around that rebuild them as well. If the
others are in good shape $60 to $90 is a good deal (especially if that's
Cdn).

Bon Chance.

Dave
