Not exactly but I replace the Clear Hooters (ha ha  ha) wiper switch on my
71 with similar results.  My switch seams to want to creap out about 1/8
inch or a little more but then the wires restrain it from coming out any
further.  I've learned to live with it but when I mentioned this on the
list someone suggested I wrap the switch with a couple of turns on
electrical tape.  Wadya tink?
