Boot Carpet

What's original in the boot? Was there carpeting? I see sets for sale but 
I've had four  TR-4's in my life and I don't rememebr carpeting back there. 


BTW, a totally non-LBC quick question. I got an e-mail that closed with the 
symbol (at least I think it's a symbol for something)
