What's all the fuss about?
Casting a mind back, this car new (non injection version) retailed for about
GBP1400 'on
the road' including all taxes. Very roughly that is now GBP14,000 in today's
money -
probably more. Current exchange rate GBP/US$ is around 1.6. The conversion
works out at
$22,400 in today's dollars. If the car's that good, the guy who bought it has
only paid UK
list price for a US spec TR6. In fact, he's got an 8% discount for cash. Looks
like a
pretty good deal for a piece of reliable antiquity.
