The cheapest UPS rate I found to ship a 50 pound package from England to the
US is $226.  Insurance, customs fees, etc. are extra ...

I don't actually know how much Fred's package weighed, but those clutch
covers are _heavy_.  Even 35 pounds is still $181, far more than Moss Europe
charged Fred.

And remember, since many of the parts sold by the US vendors actually come
from England, they have to pay those prices for shipping and pass them on to
you.
