At lunch today, once again, someone backed into my 71 GT-6. Last Oct an SUV
dented my front bumper. I straighten the bumper reasonably well in the spring.
This time the driver of the late model Caddy dented the front bumper and broke
up the L/S underrider.
Anyone in North America have a spare Spit / GT-6 L/S underrider (plastic cover
that protrudes forward of the bumper, that hides the bonnet hinge pivot and
supports the grill) that they would like to sell? I believe this part is common
from '71 up until the large bumper tits appeared in about '75.
Or should I break down and get a set of those unsightly 5mph bumper tits? This
car is driven daily (unless it is going to rain all day long) for 7 months out
of the year.
