While in Portland for the VTR convention I did some wandering around in the
dungeons of the parking garage and ran across a TR4A that had a Surrey
Top Backlite installed. However, instead of having the canvas top or the
metal top installed the owner of the car had a Tonneau cover on the car.
This was the first time that I've seen this and was wondering if this was a
factory arrangement or something that the current owner rigged up for
himself.
I don't recall ever seeing any reference to this combination before. The
installation seemed to be a nice one and it sure didn't look out of place.
Does anyone have any clues on this or possibly know who the owner of
the car was? I believe the car was black but I'm not 100% sure on that point.
