<<I've been having fun dealing with the back pressure caused by the removal
of my emmissions gear by the dpo. I've been having idle problems which were
caused by the routing of the rocker cover breather tube into my air filter.
I have now vented it to atmosphere and there are huge clouds of smoke
roiling out from under the hood. >>
don't wait till the Fire Department shows up! (ask me how I know!) My problem
was worn out rings...the ones that were still left on the pistons that
is...that's what casued my back-pressure ..motor ran pretty good ..but the
worn/missing rings caused a lot of 'blow-by' SMOKE out of the gauze breather
cap and crank case breather pipe (open system) scaring unknowingly neighbors.
The fix? seemingly millions of dollars in my
case...pistons/liners/rings...well why not cam, crank, gears and tranny...new
paint, tires, tools and a new hat.. some books...
