Don,
You gotta love a wife like that.  I have found that I have to negotiate
for such items.  Last negotiation went something like this:  Oh, you
want our new home to have a pool.  OK if you get a pool, I get a 4-car
garage/shop.  And you say you don't want me tracking grease on your new
carpet, well then if I had a full bath with shower in the shop I could
clean up before coming into the house.  She went for that.  I just
didn't tell her that I too wanted the pool!!!
