Just installed one a month or so ago in my TR3A.
Bought a 12" from Carquest for about $90. Pep Boys usually has them for
$70 but were fresh out.
Its a Hayden that Carquest re-packages under its own name.
Anyhows, the installation is very easy. I took off the bumper and the
grill and then rested the fan on a medium sized screw driver handle (in the
hollow provided for the starting handle) so as to give about 1/4" clearance
btween the fan and the car body. The fan is then mounted by four special,
thin plastic wires (provided) that are pushed through the fan, then the
radiator (between the fins) and tightened with the special "nuts" as they
come out the other side of the radiator.
This kit came with a fuse holder, but no switch or thermostat.
I tried to install a lighted switch but immediately blew the fuse. In the
end I went with a simple toggle switch, hidden under the dash. There is no
need for a lighted switch anyway because the fan sounds like retro rockets
kicking in!!
It does drop the temp down when in traffic.

Bset of Luck, Adrian
