Spit rag tops question

My Spit needs a new rag top, TRF has a good sale on Robbins tops, and
I'm sorely tempted.  But I have heard that Tickford (sp?) tops are
better or easier to install or something.  Can someone tell me just
what the differences are among the various rag tops?
