Last Sunday I had to make a trip out of state. While I was there I
saw my brother and asked if he had seen any Triumphs for sale. He took me to
a place where there was a man who had been in business for about 30 years and
collected almost 1000 cars in his salvage yard. I could not believe my eyes!
Fully a quarter of them were Spits and Gts in all sorts of conditions!!!! TRs
of most makes were present, MGs and Jags as well as far back as the 50s and
earlier! Parts, parts, parts!!!!!And some complete cars too!
Of course there is a catch......He is retired and although he has a
wealth of knowlage is trying to maintain a peacefull existance. He will sell
the parts but, does not want to deal with bunches of people on his doorstep.
He doesnt have a web site and would rather not have to answer the phone all
day. He does have a Fax # and gave me permission to post it. If you are
looking for a part send him the request. I dont know him very well so I cant
say how he will respond -fast or slow. His prices seem fair for the things I
asked about. Since I was there and saw these wonders with my own eyes I will
be happy to answer questios that do not involve the location of his
shop or similar specifics since he asked me not to give out that kind of
info. If we are all very nice and respectfull we might save much from the
crusher and find some treasures besides. Good luck to all!
