Battery Cutoff Switch for GT6

Folks,   Just picked up a battery cutoff switch from a local car parts
store.  It's shape is excellent for mounting through the firewall.  My
concern is its rating, 300Amps.  What's the list's opinion, do you think 300
Amps is heavy enough for a GT6?  It's quite modestly priced, and, of course,
you get what you pay for.
