74 TR6 Seat Frames

I am getting ready to redo the seats in my TR6.  I just removed the vinyl
and the seat backs seem to be bent inward toward each other.  Is this
normal?  Is this the way they are designed, or do I need to bend the seat
backs.  They bend inward at about the same angle so I would guess this is
the way they were made.
