A few months ago I rebuilt both the twin SUs on my Volvo and twin Strombergs
on my TR4 and I'll be darned if I can say one design is that much better than
the other.
I prefer the Stromberg 'looks' though and I notice an awful lot of Jaguars
came stock with Strombergs too. Both designs have similar problems and tune
up almost identically in my opinion (the Strombergs do have the two $9.00
diaphrams that you have to replace every 15 years or so whereas the SU design
has no need for it).
