exchange rate

Listers north of the border, trying to get a handle on the Nova Scotia 
trip and am in need of knowing what the rate of exchange is. If the room 
is 100.00 Canadian, how much is that in U.S. & is it better to use a 
credit card or exchange currency when entering N.S., sorry if this sounds 
as if I might be thick headed, the answer is yes. Thanks for your help.
