Cameron,
Had the same problem. If did n't take the handle apart on the top,
therefore, it has to be the female portion. You'll have to unrivet
the top chrome part (on top of thw windshield), remove the old one
and put in the new one. Remember when, or if, you order, there is
a difference between left and right sides.
They do wear down. It really made a difference for me.
